2022 end of spring update

Nolzurs trolls

Byzantine Excubitores 450-750. I filled the ranks out to 15. These were made with fireforge Russians/Scandinavian bods and mostly GB saxon heads with victrix plumes.

Fireforge Byzantine archers with arms from other sets as I used up the actual Byzantine archer arms for horse archers.

Fireforge Byzantine Spearmen with a few auxiliary arms in the front rank. The shields were my first go at Tamiya tape, I think they came out nicely. My Byzantine forces will deploy as Gondorians, Easterling City militia, and of course Byzantines.

Fireforge Spanish Almogavars with round shields and three west wind arthurian heads in the front rank. These guys will deploy as Carolingians, Scandinavian Leidang Crusaders, and Tolkien westerners.

PHOTO DUMP SPRING 2022

Another update to keep tabs on my output.

L TO R

WA Persian with Victrix Dacian head and WA Irish shield, Victrix German, NS familiar, Reaper Wizard

Warlord Celts with Victrix Numidian Heads and NS torch

WA Persians with WA Roman heads and darts. These guys will be light troops for Late Romans and Fantasy troops

WA Persian Bods with WA Roman Heads and arms. Again, Late Roman Troops to double as western imperial fantasy troops

Exclusively NS bits, most from the knight set and some Dwarven bits thrown in

Mantic Northern Clansmen pre wash and basing. I based these with dark earth but am still on the fence whether I should add snow.

I wanted to fill the ranks of the heavy dwarf regiments so I began using some of the regular dwarf soldier bodies with heavy heads and arms to fill out ranks.

FF Byzantine Koursores with bank rank converted into horse archers with FF auxiliary bits. I did'nt add shields to the lancers, as lancers pre 600 usually didnt have shields as far as I can tell. Without shields these guys are decent for a huge time period, but I am still on the fence about adding shields.

GW Lotr Goblins. I have had these unpainted for nearly 20 years. Oathmark finally gave me the urge to fill out ranks.

NS light dwarves and metal command

Victrix Normans to stand in as Late Franks, early crusaders, and fantasy westerners.

Victrix Normans to stand in as Late Franks, early crusaders, and fantasy westerners.

Reaper Metal Elf Barbarian, I painted for Chris

GB dark age bodies with WA persian heads and FF mongol shields. These guys are good for persians, Sassanids, and Fantasy Desert City Troops

NS Light Dwarf Rangers and one Metal Command

NS Light Dwarf infantry with NS Barbarian arms on the officer

Updated Dwarf Spearmen with newly equipped tower shields (victrix Roman shields)

Victrix Vikings and some conversions here and there

two more victrix normans

NS Demons, I made more of these after so I am assuming I filled the ranks to ten finished.

Light Infantry for Fantasy Humans and early medieval. Mostly Victrix normans with some other bits thrown in.

These guys were made to fill out my NS Human regiment. They were made with Victrix Norman bodies and some NS heads and shields.

GW Lotr Goblins

FF Byzantine cataphracts

GW Lotr hobbits and Gimli

Crappy Picture of GB Pictish Cavalry

Perry English Bowmen with FF Sergeant heads and Greenstuff

GB Teutonic Bishop

GB Huns. 7 more Horse archers awaiting paint. These will work as generic steppe warriors historical and fantasy.
